1. What is the age requirement to use the Fitness Room?

You must be 14 years old to use the Fitness Room. 

2. At what age can my child come to the Fitness Center without an adult?

Any member 10 years and older is allowed in the Fitness Center without an adult. 

3. Is it allowed to have children in the pool with water wings on their arms?

No. Water wings are not allowed due to the fact that they constrict arm movement or may deflate. RIFAC provides swim belts for children that go on their backs and help them stay afloat.

4. Can the Jungle Room be used by anyone?

The Jungle Room is designed for children 10 years and younger. Anyone under 6 years of age will need adult (18 years or older) supervision.

5. Do you provide towels?

Towels are provided for those members who have rented a kit locker. Other members or participants may rent a towel for $.50

6. What is the cost to have my child in babysitting?

It is $1.00/hour per child. You can purchase a punch card at either $5, $10, or $15. Each punch equals half hour per child. Children from newborn up to age 8 are accepted, and parents must stay on the premises to use this service.

7. How can my business sponsor an event, program, or facility?

The Rock Island Parks & Recreation has flexible options that offer opportunities for any size of business to connect with their target market. Opportunities for businesses to sponsor range in price from $100 and up including small sponsorships like candy donation at Fright Night, to mid range sponsorships such as a concert at Schwiebert Riverfront Park, a soccer jersey sponsorship, Red, White & Boom, or signage at Whitewater Junction or the Sports Complex. Businesses can choose a sponsorship that fits their marketing goals.
