Does an owner need a property agent?
Not if the owner resides in the City of Rock Island or within a reasonable distance so they may be able to maintain the property. Property owners who do not reside within a reasonable distance and are unable to maintain the property or respond to emergencies on the property are strongly advised to have a local agent. The local agent is designated by the owner and provides a contact person for the property, and the agent authorization must be on file in the Inspection Division.
