The Rock Island Public Library’s first quarterly book sale of 2026 is this Friday and Saturday, January 23 and 24.
Rock Island Public Library January Book Sale is Friday, January 23 and January 24. The pay-what-you-want book sale runs from 10 am to 1 pm at the Rock Island Downtown Library, 401 19th Street, Rock Island. A wide variety of books for all ages will be available for browsing and buying. Unless otherwise marked, sales are by donation. Shoppers can fill up boxes or bags and make the library an offer. Cash, credit/debit, or check are accepted.
Proceeds from the quarterly sales benefit special library projects through the People Advocating for Library Services (PALS) fund of the Rock Island Public Library Foundation.
