Spring Community Garage Sale & Vendor Fair

Come search for a great bargain or hidden treasure at the annual Spring Community Garage Sale and Vendor Fair on Saturday, May 4 at Upper Longview Park from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Browse through more than 6,000 square feet of shopping for toys, home décor, furniture, trinkets, home-made items and more from over 50 garage sale and craft vendors. Speaking of Rain …

The City of Rock Island and River Action have partnered together to offer FREE rain barrels. Come pick up your rain barrel this Saturday, April 27 at Longview Park from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Barrels can be picked up at the storage garage near the greenhouse. 

Do you have prescription drugs that need to be disposed of?

National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is this Saturday, April 27^th at the Martin Luther King Jr. Memorial Center, 630 9^th Street from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. The event aims to provide a safe and responsible way of disposing of prescription drugs while educating the public about the potential for abuse of medications. An additional Rock Island site is the Rock Island County Justice Center. Sites cannot accept liquids, inhalers, needles or sharps. The drive-thru service is free and anonymous.
