Rock Island Public Library locations and bookmobile routes will be closed Monday, July 5 in observance of the Independence Day holiday. Library digital content, including eBooks, audiobooks, movies, music, and magazines, as well as online research subscriptions, and the library’s Beanstack summer reading site will continue to be available when physical locations are closed.
The Rock Island Downtown Library, 401 19th Street, and Southwest Library, 9010 Ridgewood Road, reopen at the normal hours of 9:00 am to 6:00 pm on Tuesday, July 6. Tuesday stops for the Library2Go bookmobile are as follows: Dollar Tree, 480 10th Avenue E, Milan, 10:00am - 11:30am; South Park Presbyterian Church, 1501 30th St, Rock Island, 2:30 to 3:30 pm; and Edgewood Baptist Church, 2704 38th Street, Rock Island, 4:00 to 5:30 pm.
