On Sunday June 7, 2020 at 10:17 p.m., the Rock Island Police Department responded to the 1000 block of 7th Av in reference to shots fired. Responding officers located twenty-three year old Kameron R. Moore, who died as a result of his injuries.
On July 1, 2020, Brandon D. Motton (3-14-85) of Moline, IL., was apprehended in Chicago by the US Marshalls Great Lakes Regional Fugitive Task Force. An arrest warrant charging Motton with First Degree Murder in the death of Kameron Moore was obtained during the course of this investigation by the Rock Island Police Department Criminal Investigations Division. Bond on the warrant was set at $1,000,000.00, cash only.
Motton is currently being held in the Cook County Jail while awaiting extradition.
