Highland Springs and Saukie Golf Courses will open for the 2020 season on May 1st...

Highland Springs and Saukie Golf Courses will open for the 2020 season on May 1st at 8:00 am. The golf courses will follow the restrictions provided by the State of Illinois including: only groups of two allowed, 15-minute tee time intervals, no carts except those with physical disabilities or limitations, no rental pull carts, pre-paid tee time reservations, no practice facilities including driving range and putting greens, and no congregating in or near the clubhouse.             All tee times must be made in advance and paid over the phone with a credit card. Walk-ons will not be permitted. Tee times can be made by calling Highland Springs at (309) 732-7265 or Saukie at (309) 732-2277 Wednesday, April 29th and Thursday, April 30th between 8:00 am and 12:00 pm. Tee times can be made up to 7 days in advance. 

            “We are excited that we will be able to open the courses to allow golfers to participate in a safe and healthy outdoor activity. Illinois golfers are ready to play and we can’t wait to see them at Saukie and Highland Springs!” says Todd Winter, Assistant Parks and Recreation Director.

            Saukie Golf Course is a beautiful executive length course that is beginner friendly but can challenge every golfer with its tough par threes, rolling deep ravines and doglegs, and majestic oak trees. It is conveniently located in the heart of Rock Island at the intersection of 31st Avenue and 38th Street.

Highland Springs is a championship layout recognized as one of the best designs in the Quad Cities. This course includes enough length to challenge all types of players and includes numerous lakes and ponds, rolling hills with deep ravines and thousands of mature trees. Highland Springs is located in southwest Rock Island at 9500 35th Street West.
