If you’ve resolved to get healthy or take better advantage of Quad City cultural resources in 2020, the Rock Island Public Library has a great option for you.
Rock Island Public Library just added a family pass to the Rock Island Fitness and Activity Center (RIFAC) to its collection of cultural and entertainment passes that can be checked out with an Illinois library card. The RIFAC pass is available at the Rock Island Downtown and Southwest Library locations.
Each RIFAC pass consists of 5 cards, which may be used for admission to the activity center for 2 adults (age 23 and older) and 3 persons under age 23. The pass may be checked out for seven days. All cards in the packet must be returned together to the library.
Additional passes in the Rock Island Library collection include:
- The Figge: Admits family of up to four people.
- German-American Heritage Center—Unlimited access for a family of four.
- Niabi Zoo (in zoo season only): Admits 2 adults and up to 4 children.
- Putnam Museum: Five general admission tickets. Pass does not include tickets to big screen movies.
- Quad City Botanical Center: Admits 2 adults and up to 4 children.
All passes check out for seven days to Illinois cardholders only. No interstate borrowing or online holds are available. Passes may be checked out on a first-come, first served basis, and must be checked out and returned at the Rock Island Public Library Downtown or Southwest Library locations. Passes may not be returned via the book drop or the Mobile Library2Go vehicle.
