To help the Rock Island Library's Universe of Stories summer programming and reading challenges blast off right, WQPT Quad Cities PBS will bring READY JET GO storytimes to Rock Island Libraries on June 4, 7, and 12.
The special storytimes explore the moon with the help of Ready Jet Go! from PBS Kids. Participants will listen to a story, complete an activity, and learn about the fun and educational uses of the show, which is aimed at ages 3 to 8. The WQPT-TV storytimes are offered at 10:30 am on Tuesday, June 4 at the Rock Island 30/31 Library, 3059 30th Street; Friday, June 7 at the Rock Island Downtown Library, 401 19th Street, and Wednesday, June 12 at the Rock Island Southwest Library, 9010 Ridgewood Road.
Ready Jet Go! features alien visitor Jet Propulsion and his family from the fictional planet Bortron, and is produced in cooperation NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory. The storytimes are free and open to the public. No registration is required.
