Adults who love movies have two good reasons to head to the library, with popular options shown in February at the Rock Island Downtown and Southwest Libraries.

Who doesn't love movies, particularly when they're free? Rock Island Library offers reoccurring movie events each month to help adults enjoy a movie, connect with others, and  get out of the house.

The February 11 Coffee & a Movie Morning pick celebrates the love of family and music. The free movie starts at 9:30 am on Monday, February 11 in the Downtown Library's second-floor Community room,  401 19th Street.  A new movie is offered on the second Monday of each month.

The February 21 Cinema at Southwest movie features the rock biography based on Freddie Mercury and Queen. It airs at 10:00 am in the Southwest Library Community Room, 9010 Ridgewood Road. A new movie is offered on the third Thursday of each month.

Movie titles can't be listed here due to the library's movie licensing contract. For details about what the library is showing, call 309-732-READ.
