Each year the Rock Island Police Department chooses a worthy cause to support within the community and help those in need.
This year the employees of the Police
Department purchased and donated various items to help support the missions of
Christian Family Care and QC Heart of Hope, as part of our “Rock Island Stands Together” initiative.
The Police Department partnered
with the Rock Island Police Benevolent and Protective Association #3, the
Fraternal Order of Police Lodge #57, AFSCME Local 988, Hy-Vee, Walgreens, and
CVS Pharmacy, to purchase the needed items.
The Police Departments efforts
were also generously supported through numerous citizen donations, as well as
donations from the employees of the City of Rock Island Finance Department.

Department Community Room on Friday November 16th at 1:30pm as we announce the
results of our initiative and begin the distribution of items to Christian
Family Care and QC Heart of Hope.
