The half hour entertainment and tourism based show, produced by Chicago Productions Media Corporation, will overview the history and appeal of the Rock Island, as well as highlight various locations and attractions within the city. It is slated for broadcast on WQAD (Channel 8) at 9:30 a.m. Sunday morning. The episode also appears on two stations in the Chicago area: WJYS on Saturday, March 31st at 6 p.m. and The U Too on Sunday, April 1st at 7 p.m. The three broadcasts will reach millions of homes between Illinois, Iowa, Wisconsin, Minnesota and Indiana. 

Mayor Mike Thoms advised, “I had a lot of fun working with the crew when they were filming earlier this month and l enjoyed hearing the stories about Rock Island that the other guests featured on the program shared. I am very proud of our City and I am excited that we were chosen to be featured. I encourage everyone in the Quad City area to watch the show this Sunday on WQAD and to let me know your thoughts”. 

“The Review” will showcase a new city each week and will feature destinations, attractions, interesting places, historical landmarks and restaurants in those areas. In each segment, the host shares their experiences of the sights, sounds, and environment that the city or area has to offer and takes the audience to the scene (and often behind the scenes) of events, attractions and fun things to do. The hosts act as tourists and interact with various people including staff, guests and the audience and will share the story and appeal of those places in a fun and entertaining way. The target audience is one that has a passion for travel and unique points of view.
