On Tuesday, November 14, 2017; the intersection of Blackhawk Road and 24th Street will be closed to traffic between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm for installation of a new electrical transformer for the Blackhawk Sanitary Lift Station.
On Tuesday, November 14, 2017; the intersection of Blackhawk Road and 24th Street will be closed to traffic between the hours of 9:00 am and 4:00 pm for installation of a new electrical transformer for the Blackhawk Sanitary Lift Station. The new transformer is part of improvements to the Blackhawk Lift Station which provides sanitary sewer service to a large portion of the City. These improvements are part of the City’s Long Term Control Plan.
Local traffic will be maintained along both Blackhawk Road and 24th Street up to the closure at their intersection. Access to all local businesses will be maintained.
Motorists should please follow all posted construction signs for detour directions as needed. Westbound Blackhawk Road thru traffic will be detoured north on 30th Street, west on 31st Avenue and then south on 11th Street. Eastbound traffic will be detoured north on 11th Street, east on 31st Avenue, south on 30th Street and then reconnect with eastbound traffic at 30th Street and Blackhawk Road. Southbound 17th Street and 24th Street traffic will be directed to go east or west on 31st Avenue. Please see attached diagram.
Normal traffic will resume pending the completion of this work in the afternoon of November 14.
