If you're stuck on a technology question, try the new monthly drop-in Tech Labs at Rock Island Libraries for an answer.

New Technology Open Labs will help adults get answers to a variety of tech questions, such as using personal devices,  library digital products and the internet, or using and setting up email, social media and more.  The monthly drop-in lab times are from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm on the second Friday of the month at the Downtown Library,  on the third Friday at 30/31, and the fourth Friday at Southwest Library.

Upcoming lab dates are August 11 at Downtown, August 18 at 30/31, and August 25 at Southwest.  No registration is necessary. Help is available on a first-come, first served basis.

Participants should bring the charged personal device that they have a question about, or if applicable, their user name and password to log into their email or social site. If you want to set up an email or social media site, library staff will help you set up your account at these lab times.

All of the labs are free and open to the public. Rock Island Library locations are: Downtown Library, 401 19th Street; 30/31 Library, 3059 30th Street, and Southwest Library, 9010 Ridgewood Road.

For details about other library services and programs, please visit the library website, pick up a fall events guide, call 309-732-READ, or follow the library on Facebook and Twitter.
