A dedication to Ellis Kell...
The 2017 Laura’s
Legacy Concert Celebration will be kicking off this year’s event with a
dedication to Ellis Kell. The Rock Island Parks and Recreation Department and
the Rock Island Arts Advisory Committee will be unveiling a plaque and
officially renaming the Schwiebert Riverfront Park stage to the “Ellis Kell
Band Shell”. Following the unveiling the Original RME Brat Pack featuring
Julianna Logan will perform to honor Ellis Kell. Julianna and Lissie will also
be performing one of Ellis’s original songs.
Laura’s Legacy Concert Celebration
will be held at Schwiebert Riverfront Park in downtown Rock Island on June 3rd.
Attendees of all ages can enjoy music,
food, and family fun on the waterfront, all to support a great cause! All proceeds
will benefit the ALS Association of Greater
Chicago (serving Central Illinois, Greater Chicagoland, and Northern Illinois)
and ALS Research University of North Carolina in support of raising
awareness of ALS, patient support and research. Gates open at 3:00 pm, with admission of $10 for adults (cash only) and
free for children 12 and under with paid adult. The Ellis Kell dedication will
take place at 3:45 pm and at 4:00 pm get ready for The
Oringinal RME Brat Pack featuring Juliana Logan and special guests.
Valley Queen will take the stage at 5:00 pm and at 6:00 pm Dave Simonett of Trampled by Turtles and Dead Man Winter will perform. American folk rock artist, Lissie will perform with her band at 7:00 pm to finish off the event.
