Beginning Tuesday, October 14, the north boat ramp and parking lot at Sunset Marina and Lake Potter will be closed to the public. The closure is necessary to allow Maricorp to safely assemble and mobilize the new D400 dock structure for Sunset Marina.

The north boat ramp and parking lot are expected to remain closed for approximately two weeks, weather permitting. George Skafidas Parkway and the east boat ramp off Sunset Lane will remain open and accessible throughout the closure.

The City of Rock Island apologizes for any inconvenience this may cause and appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation as these improvements are completed.
