Library2Go Rolls Into Rock Island Parks for Spring Intersession: With Rock Island-Milan School District elementary schools on break, The Rock Island Public Library2Go bookmobile will be making temporary Tuesday/Thursday stops in public parks in Rock Island.
On Thursday, March 20 and 27, look for the Library2Go bookmobile in Longview Park, 1300 17th Street. Library 2Go also has one more Tuesday stop on March 25, at Lincoln Park, 11th Avenue and 38th Streets, Rock Island. All three stops are from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm.
Library2Go visitors can come onboard to browse and check out books, pick up items placed on hold for Library2Go pick up, return items, get a library card, and use free WiFi. A wheelchair lift is available. Valid library cards from any Illinois Quad City public library may be used at the Library2Go mobile library (or at any other Rock Island Public Library.)
The temporary park stops are in place of regular Tuesday/Thursday stops at Rock Island schools, which will resume once school is back in session.
Regular stops for Library2Go include Monday visits to The Martin Luther King Community Center from 1:30 to 2:30 pm, and to the Rock Island Evening Lion’s Club from 3:00 pm to 4:00 pm, and Thursday stops at Centennial Shelter Park on Big Island, from 1:30 to 2:30 pm.
