The City of Rock Island has declared a snow emergency. Once snowfall reaches a depth of 2 inches, parking is not allowed on all marked snow routes until the snow has stopped and the streets have been cleared.
Vehicles parked on marked snow routes can receive a $35 parking ticket and may be towed simultaneously.
To assist with efficient snow removal, residents are strongly encouraged to avoid parking on residential streets until the snow removal process is complete.
