Adults with retirement in mind can learn how to plan ahead for success with revised dates for the Rock Island Public Library’s Social Security and Medicare Basics programs.
Due to a scheduling conflict, the Social Security and Medicare Basics workshops will now be offered on Tuesday, Nov. 12, and again on Monday, Nov. 25. Both are at 6:30 pm at the Rock Island Public Library Watts-Midtown Branch, 2715 30th Street. Financial advisor Jaime Ragins will help participants gain a better understanding of:
· Social Security filing strategies,
· Factors to consider when producing income,
· How to create an income plan with Social Security and other retirement assets,
· The parts and costs of Medicare coverage,
· How Medicare works, and
· The impact of taxes on investments, retirement income, and other areas of retirement.
Participants may choose to attend either or both programs. Bring a notebook and questions, and start planning now for the best retirement possible.
