Rock Island Public Library buildings will be open normal  hours Monday, November 20 through Wednesday, November 22, before closing for Thanksgiving holidays on Thursday, Nov. 23 and Friday, Nov. 24. 

All locations reopen Saturday, November 25 from 10 am to 2pm.

While the library buildings are closed, Rock Island Public Library cardholders can still use the library’s large digital collections, which include Libby by OverDrive, eRead Illinois Boundless eBook and audiobook collections, Hoopla digital ebooks, audiobooks, music, and movie, and Kanopy movies. The library also offers streaming and downloadable music through Freegal music, and a wide variety of research tools, including Consumer Reports, Newsbank digital newspaper collections, The New York Times, and more. Outside return boxes for library items will be available.
