Check out the VR headset and remote from our 1st floor Reference Desk, and see the new I-74 Mississippi River Bridge in a unique way! Through creative collaboration, the Iowa Department of Transportation and Iowa State University have provided a way for you to virtually explore this once-in a lifetime interstate construction project. Once you put on the virtual reality headset, you'll experience a fully immersive view of the new bridge. "Fly" through the corridor, "drive" across the new bridge, see the Quad Cities from the scenic overlook, "stand" on the top of the arch, and "dive" into the river to get a close up view of the river ecosystem. Not recommended for very young children.
