How can I donate family photographs, documents or mementos that illustrate the history of Rock Island?
While the City has a long and proud tradition in historic preservation, the best places to donate your items are the Rock Island Public Library or the Rock Island County Historical Society Library and Museum so that your valuable item can be catalogued and shared with the public.

Where can I learn more about Rock Island’s history without buying a book?
The Rock Island Preservation Commission has a 44-page booklet featuring the history of Rock Island.
