About the Park
Mel McKay boasts 30 acres of green space with plenty of room to roam. The park is named after a former Rock Island Mayor Mel McKay (1945-1953).
Mel McKay Park has pickleball courts located on the east side of the park.
***New Pickleball Courts Coming! Construction on the Mel McKay pickleball courts will begin on September 25th by Langman Construction. The courts will be closed for play until the project has been completed. The current courts will be replaced with six new courts and the parking lot will be repaired, sealed, and painted in the spring.

Park Rental Information
Mel McKary Park has one small shelter available for a picnic or party. Rental is available after April 1 each year.
