Reach Out Program

The Martin Luther King Center’s youth programs are concurrent with the Rock Island-Milan School District #41 schedule. During the fall, winter, and spring intersession breaks, the King Center offers a recreational program 10:00 am to 2:00 pm for grades K-6 and a teen program from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm for junior high school students.

After-School Program Activities include:

  • Reading and math activities
  • Reward trips
  • Character building & life skills
  • Enrichment programming
  • Community service activities
  • Music and art appreciation
  • Lunch and snacks


Several partners help to make the Reach Out Program a great success. They include, but are not limited to, the following:
