Commission Responsibilities


The Water Pollution Control Commission was created to review permit denials at the industrial user’s request, determine if information or data relating to an industrial user is entitled to confidential treatment, hear testimony and evidence concerning permit revocations, and hear testimony and evidence concerning disconnection of service.

All appointed members are Rock Island residents. Anyone interested in becoming a member should contact the Public Works Department.
