Refuse, Recycling & Yard Waste

Refuse collection is provided by the City on a weekly basis.

Customers may select either a large 96-gallon or small 48-gallon cart.
Refuse trucks operate Monday through Friday except on some holidays. Refer to the holiday collection schedule for changes.
Residential customers receive one free special pick-up per calendar year on an appointment basis.
Rock Island residents may also take advantage of the Refuse and Yardwaste Drop-Off Center.
