The Hiring Process
The application process involves:

• Submitting an online application after the position is posted
• Successfully passing physical agility test
• Written exam
• Oral interview with Police & Fire Commission
• Eligibility list

Hiring is dependent upon the successful passing of:

• Psychological exam
• Physical
• Drug screening

Training
Newly hired officers receive:

• Police Academy training
• Sixteen weeks of Field training
