Biography

Jeff VenHuizenMr. VenHuizen’s established the Crime Suppression Unit this year to take a proactive approach to combating criminal activity through highly proactive and focused enforcement efforts that focus on problem solving, not merely response.

Mr. VenHuizen has worked in a variety of positions in the Rock Island Police Department including: Police Officer,K-9 Officer, Field Training Officer, Police Sergeant, Narcotics Supervisor, Agent for Office of Professional Standards, Police Lieutenant, Police Lieutenant of Technical Services Division, and Deputy Chief of Police.

He is a graduate of the FBI National Academy (2010), the Northwestern School of Police Staff & Command (2008), and received an Associate of Applied Science Degree from Blackhawk College (1991). He is currently completing his undergraduate degree in Law Enforcement from Western Illinois University.

Mr. VenHuizen’s awards and recognitions include:
