The Public Works Department is committed to maintaining, enhancing, and developing the 87 miles of concrete streets, 61 miles of asphalt streets, and 6 miles of brick streets in the Rock Island community. A variety of activities and programs from snow removal to the micro-surfacing exist to enhance the existing street and sidewalks for Rock Island citizens and visitors.
