Amenities: The Rock Island Parks and Recreation Department invites you to visit the beautiful Hauberg Civic Center, 1300 - 24th Street, RI. High on the hillside overlooking Rock Island, Davenport, and the Mississippi River Valley, Susanne Christine Denkmann began her palatial brick mansion in 1909. Her home was completed in 1911 just before her marriage to John H. Hauberg and was their home for their married lives.

The home was designed for her by Prairie School Architect Robert C. Spencer, Jr. a friend of Frank Lloyd Wright, and is a mature work of early modern architecture.

Hauberg Civic Center is open to non-profit groups, businesses, and private groups, Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., for a small usage fee. During non-business hours a $20 per hr. fee applies.

Weekend rental rates on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday apply to all users. These rates include the entire facility, and are $150.00 for four hours, and $20.00 for each additional hour. No alcohol is allowed.

The Hauberg Civic Center is an ideal location for social engagements, such as parties or weddings!

Hauberg Civic Center has two outdoor spaces and the building that can be used for weddings and family events. Outdoor areas include:

• Tulip Fountain and Front Lawn
  (75-100 people)
  
• Rhododendron Garden
  (35 people)

Included in the Hauberg Estate Park are a playground, ball diamond, flower garden, ice skating, picnic area, and a lighted football/soccer field.
