Biography:
Dennis Pauley is currently serving his first term representing the 3rd Ward. A native Quad-Citian, Alderman Pauley has lived in Rock Island for 52 years. He was elected to the City Council in 2005 and his term will expire May 1, 2009.
Alderman Pauley was a graduate of Rock Island High School and went on to attend St. Ambrose University in Davenport. He is currently the Director of External Affairs at Ameritech.
He has been very active within the community serving as the Vice Chair of the Martin Luther King Jr. Board, and the Q.C. Health Initiative. He has also served on the Rock Island Development Association Executive Committee, the United Way of Illinois Board, the Q.C. Development Group Executive Committee, as well as several other local boards and commissions.
In his free time, Alderman Pauley enjoys golfing and keeping up with his six daughters and seven grandchildren. He enjoys living in Rock Island because of the excellent city services and because there is always something to do.
