MECHANICAL BOARD CODE OF APPEALS

Duties
A Mechanical Code Board of Appeals was created to hear and decide appeals of orders, decisions or determinations made by the Building Official relative to the application and interpretations of the Mechanical Code. This Board consists of members qualified on matters pertaining to mechanical design, construction and maintenance and the public health aspects of mechanical systems and who are not employees of the City. The Board consists of at least seven (7) members: two (2) may be license holders engaged in the forced air, air conditioning and ventilation business; one may be a license holder engaged in the hydronic and air conditioning business; one may be a supervisor employed by the local gas utility company; one may be a journeyman sheet metal worker; one may be a journeyman pipe fitter; and one may be a journeyman refrigeration mechanic or a license holder engaged in the refrigeration business.

Term
Three years.
