ELECTRICAL CODE BOARD OF APPEALS
Duties
The Electrical Code Board of Appeals is charged with the duties of recommending safe and practical standards and specifications for installing, altering, and use of electrical equipment designed to meet the necessities of the Electrical Code of the City. The Electrical Code Board of Appeals may from time to time as need or occasion demands, and in the interest of the public, require or recommend such changes in the standards, specifications and fees. This Commission shall also act as an appeals board by individuals or organizations who wish to appeal a decision of the Electrical Inspector. The Electrical Code Board of Appeals of the City, consists of six (6) members including (1) The Electrical Inspector to serve as an ex officio member and act as secretary of the Commission; (2) The Chief of the Fire Department; (3) A licensed electrical contractor; (4) A journeyman electrician; (5) An electrical engineer; and (6) A representative of the local electric utility company. If there is no person residing in the municipality who is qualified under any one of these descriptions, the Mayor may appoint some other person to fill that position.
Term
Three years.
