    A program on the fact - and fiction - of Sylvan Slough. Professor Curt Roseman presents a talk on the natural, historical, and industrial significance of Sylvan Slough, including its place in the development of Moline, its role in water power to industry, and the multiple bridges that connected it to the mainland. In our fiction angle, A Novelist Looks at Sylvan Slough, Chuck Oestreich joins us to read from his work, Sylvan Slough, and discuss what inspired him to make this small island the setting of his second book. Parks & Recreation

  1. The Great Saukie Adventure Run

    February 13, 1:00 pm - 3:00 pm @ Saukie Golf Course

    Over the hills and through the woods, to Saukie Great Run we go! This will be a 3 mile course. Might be a little more, might be a little less depending on how you make your way around in the woods and how well you do on the events. Packet Pick up will be Friday February 12th at Great River Brewing Tasting Room from 2:00 pm until close. No day of packet pick up will be available. Must register in advance at www.getmeregistered.com.
