About the Park
The new park is named for former Mayor Mark Schwiebert (1989-2009) for his tireless efforts to promote public use of the riverfront.

Park Rental Information
Schwiebert Riverfront Park is the perfect place for a wedding, special event, other activities including picnics or parties with rental areas including:
- Observation shelter
- Stage and Great Lawn
- Triangle Lawn
- Entire park
2012 & 2013 Open for Reservations
The shelters are available for rental after April 1 each year.

Children's inflatables will be open from 6:00 pm to 8:30 pm. | Red, White and BOOM!
Festivities will include: Live music "Horizon" Navy Band Great Lakes from 7:00 - 9:30 pm playing top 40 hits and classic rock, including special salute to our military. Children’s entertainment including face painting and inflatables from 6:00 to 8:30 pm. Wristbands for games will be $5. Enjoy exceptional viewing of the spectacular Red, White and Boom fireworks display. Come help us thank our military and bring a thank you card or fill one out on our provided stationary to be distributed to our serving military. Concessions and beer garden will be available and admission to the event is free. No outside alcohol allowed. Free parking will be available downtown in the parking ramp, city parking lots and on the street. Schwiebert Riverfront Park and Modern Woodmen Lots will be closed. |
